Enlarging GIF or BMP Images Without Blurring

For those who use a drawing software such as Paint Shop Pro, Corel, or Adobe; enlarging images should not be a problem.  If you do not have access to any of these programs; you can use Irfan View image converter program.  This program can be downloaded for free at: www.irfanview.com.  After downloading the program; follow the tutorial below.

Step 1
Launch Irfan View.  Go to: File>Open and choose which image you would like to enlarge.  Your image should appear as shown below.

Step 2
Go to: Image>Resize/Resample...

Step 3
A pop up window will appear as shown below.  Check of the bullet that reads: "Set new size as percentage of original:".  Key in the desired enlargement percent.  Ensure that the box that reads: "Preserve aspect ratio" is checked off.  Under "Size Method" check off the bullet that reads: "Resize (faster)".  Lastly, click the OK button.

Step 4
You will then see the result.  Image below has been enlarged at 150% from original.

Step 5
Go to: File>Save As...  A pop up window will appear.  Save the image as a different name so you don't overwrite the original.  Now you can open up your new file in your printing program.
